Glitter Creme Base to make your own glitter cremes or mica-based eyeshadows. 
 
NEW FORMULA
 
Mixing Ratio and Observations:
 2 parts base to 1.5 parts glitter (by weight),  for both fine and chunky glitters.
 
- Melts a bit in the sun but firms right back up in the shade.  Becomes a bit firmer after melting and re-solidifying, but smushed around a bit, it's just as soft as before.
 - This base doesn't seem to leave the skin as greasy as the old formula.  The glitter goes on and doesn't slide around as much or leave much oily residue around the glitter.
 
Mixing Instructions/Options:
 
Cold methods:
Use a strong spoon to press the base onto a work surface to get a softened, smooth texture. Then fold in the glitter with a stiff spatula. 
Or put the base into a stand mixer, and run the mixer to soften the base, then add the glitter and continue mixing.
 
Benefits
- you don’t need a heat source,
- you don’t have to wait for the mixture to cool before using it
- suitable for working with biodegradable glitters, since those don’t hold up well when heated.
 
Hot method:
 Melt the base in the microwave, for approximately 10 seconds to soften. Stir until smooth, fold in glitter. Allow to cool before filling
 
 
Shelf Life: The base itself has a 2 year shelf life after manufacture.
